Die <strong>Ohren<\/strong> (Behang) sind lang und breit, am Kopf hoch und schmal angesetzt und erreichen in etwa den Mundwinkel; nach unten sind sie spitz abgerundet. Nicht wenige Menschen begeistert dies, allerdings ist diese Erscheinung nur von kurzer Dauer. Relativ schnell geht das Blau in ein Gr\u00fcn \u00fcber, aus welchem sich dann das bleibende Bernstein entwickelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns has-3-columns is-layout-flex Speziell J\u00e4ger argumentieren, aufgrund angeblicher Verletzungsgefahr, immer mal wieder gern f\u00fcr das Kupieren, auch der Weimaraner Klub erlaubt diese Praktik nach wie vor. In der Folge treten jedoch gravierende Sch\u00e4den auf:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>die Steuerungs- und Balancefunktion fehlt (bei schnellen Wendungen, beim Sprung, am Fels, im Wasser, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>die Schutzfunktion f\u00fcr die Geschlechtsteile fehlt (bei Angst wird die Rute zum Schutz eingezogen bzw. dar\u00fcber gelegt)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>das Kommunikationsmittel fehlt (sowohl gegen\u00fcber Artgenossen als auch gegen\u00fcber uns Menschen)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>die Analdr\u00fcsen k\u00f6nnen (durch die weniger ausgepr\u00e4gte Aftermuskulatur) nicht mehr sinngem\u00e4\u00df entleert werden<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>bei besonders schlecht kupierten Ruten kann die Violsche Dr\u00fcse (5.-7. Daher friert bei niedrigen Temperaturen oder M\u00fcdigkeit nach langer Belastung der Weimaraner eher, als viele andere Hunderassen. Vom Wesen her entspricht ein blauer Kurzhaar-Weimaraner eher dem des grauen Kurzhaar, als einem grauen Langhaar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Langhaar<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>1935 wurde beim FCI die Variet\u00e4t &#8222;Langhaar Weimaraner&#8220; eingetragen. Zwar existierte diese bereits lange vorher, jedoch war sie nicht sonderlich erw\u00fcnscht. Der langhaarige Weimaraner kann sowohl langes weiches, aber auch k\u00fcrzeres h\u00e4rteres Haar haben, die K\u00f6rperoberseite ist dabei dichter behaart als die K\u00f6rperunterseite; Ohren, Rute und L\u00e4ufe besitzen i.d.R. l\u00e4ngeres, weicheres Haar. Mit ein Grund f\u00fcr die wesentlich geringere Anzahl an Langhaar Weimaranern ist die Dominanz der Kurzhaarvererbung, aber nat\u00fcrlich auch die Selektion in der Zucht. Der Langhaar-Weimaraner ist eine kleine Spur mehr Jagdhund, als der Kurzhaar, was ebenfalls eine geringere Familientauglichkeit mit sich bringt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kontroverse<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>W\u00e4hrend sich die Meinung bzw. Anerkennung beim Langhaar Weimaraner irgendwann ge\u00e4ndert hatte, wird der blaue (dunkelgraue \/ anthrazit) Weimaraner vom Weimaraner Klub nach wie vor nicht anerkannt, und demzufolge auch vom FCI Rassestandart ausgeschlossen. Die Fellfarbe wird ausschlie\u00dflich als silber-, reh oder mausgrau mit jeweiligen \u00dcberg\u00e4ngen zwischen diesen Farbt\u00f6nen definiert. Kopf und Ohren sind meist etwas heller, an Brust und Zehen k\u00f6nnen wei\u00dfe Abzeichen auftreten, auf dem R\u00fccken ein mehr oder weniger gut ausgepr\u00e4gter Aalstrich. Als disqualifizierender Fehler wird u.A. angesehen &#8222;Abweichung von Graut\u00f6nen, wie gelblich oder br\u00e4unlich. Farbe anders als grau. Blaue T\u00f6nung.&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bis heute lobbiiert der Weimaraner Klub diese Meinung, ver\u00f6ffentlicht andererseits jedoch keine genetischen Nachweise \u00fcber Gemeinsamkeiten und\/oder Unterschiede zwischen grau und blauen Tieren. Pers\u00f6nlich werte ich diese, offensichtlich unerw\u00fcnschten, Fakten, d.h. den ausbleibenden Beweis des Gegenteils, als ein inoffizielles Gest\u00e4ndnis des gemeinsamen Erbgutes. Mir sieht es hier eh nach rassistischer Ignoranz eines hellgrauen Idealbildes, anstatt wissenschaftlicher Fakten aus, welche sich zweifelsfrei belegen lie\u00dfen&#8230;wenn man denn wollte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hersteller\"><strong>Genetik<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Genetisch gesehen ist jeder Weimaraner durch das farbbestimmende Gen <strong>braun<\/strong>; jedoch tritt die braune Farbe nicht ph\u00e4notypisch in Erscheinung. Mutationen des immer vorhandenen Dilution-Gens (dilution=Verd\u00fcnnung) f\u00fchren entweder zu einem Grau (Aufhellung aus der Grundfellfarbe Braun), oder zu einem Blau (Aufhellung aus der Grundfellfarbe schwarz). Jeder Weimaraner, egal ob blau oder grau, besitzt also eine verd\u00fcnnte Fellfarbe, er ist nie v\u00f6llig pigmentiert. Bei anderen Hunderassen hingegen wird deren Hellbraun kaum beeinflusst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns has-2-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 Labrador, Bulldogge, Dobermann) sind \u00fcblicherweise von der Hautkrankheit CDA betroffen (Color Dilution Alopecia = Farbmutantenalopezie). Es treten dann helle Pigmentflecken, Ekzeme, Haarausfall, sowie ein empfindlicher Magen-Darm-Trakt ein Erscheinung. Es wird behauptet, der Weimaraner w\u00e4re, trotz der vorliegenden Farbverd\u00fcnnung, nicht davon betroffen, weil ihm angeblich diejenigen Gene fehlen w\u00fcrden, welche in Interaktion mit dem Dilution-Gen zur CDA f\u00fchren. Resultat: beide k\u00f6nnen mehr oder weniger braun erscheinen.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Die Fotos machen deutlich, wie verwirrend die farbgebende Bezeichnung bei  genauer Betrachtung tats\u00e4chlich ist: Der &#8222;graue&#8220; ist eher silbern bis hellgrau (und auch br\u00e4unlich), w\u00e4hrend der &#8222;blaue&#8220; eher anthrazit bis gr\u00e4ulich (und ebenfalls br\u00e4unlich) erscheint &#8211; Weimaranerneulinge  kommen da schon einmal durcheinander. Die ersten Weimaraner in den USA waren grau. Howard Knight (1884-1965), inspiriert vom Weimaraner Klub Mitglied Fritz Grossmann bestellte 1928 (entgegen des eigentlichen Klub-Verbotes der Abgabe ins Ausland) einen Weimaraner R\u00fcden und eine H\u00fcndin, welche sich jedoch bei Ankunft als sterilisiert herausstellten. Knight wiederholte den Import und erhielt &#8222;Mars aus der Wulfsriede&#8220; sowie &#8222;Aura von Gailberg&#8220; and &#8222;Dorle von Schwarsen&#8220;. 1939 wurde unter seinem Zwinger \u201eSilver Knight Kennel\u201c sein erster Wurf im deutschen Zuchtbuch eingetragen. 1942 wurde der WCA (Weimaraner Club of America) gegr\u00fcndet und durch den AKC (American Kennel Club) anerkannt. Aber erst mit der Weimaranerh\u00fcndin &#8222;Heidi&#8220; vom 34. Pr\u00e4sident der USA, Dwight Eisenhower (1890-1969), ist der Weimaraner in den 1950ern in den USA in Mode gekommen, auch Grace Kelly und Frank Sinatra besa\u00dfen einen. Er wird dort mittlerweile (noch mehr als Modehund als bei uns) mehr nach Aussehen, als nach Leistung gez\u00fcchtet und in erster Linie als Familienhund gehalten, ist aber auch als Rettungshund, Therapiehund sowie als Polizei- und Drogensp\u00fcrhund gefragt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Slovakischer Raubart<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ein Beispiel f\u00fcr das Entstehen einer neuen Rasse: Ab 1944\nkreuzte man Weimaraner mit B\u00f6hmischem Raubart und Deutsch Drahthaar; diese W\u00fcrfe\nwurden beim slowakischen Jagdverband ab 1950 als \u201eSlowakischer Weimaraner Raubart\u201c\ngef\u00fchrt. Da diese rauhaarige Form nicht dem FCI-Standart f\u00fcr Weimaraner entsprach\nund sich der Deutsche Weimaraner Klub 1974 weigerte, diese Form als Weimaraner anzuerkennen,\nwurde sie nach Antrag der slowakischen Z\u00fcchter beim FCI 1983 als eigenst\u00e4ndige\nRasse \u201eSlowakischer Raubart\u201c anerkannt (FCI-Standart Nr.320, 24.06.1996\/DE,\nKlassifikation FCI: Gruppe 7 Vorstehhunde, Sektion 1.1. Kontinentale Vorstehhunde,\nTypus Bracke, Mit Arbeitspr\u00fcfung).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hersteller\"><strong>2. Charakter<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Neben dem edlen Aussehen ist der Weimaraner aber vor allem eines: ein <strong>Charakterhund<\/strong>\u2026 bei dem das \u00e4u\u00dfere Erscheinungsbild oft \u00fcber die wesentlichen Eigenschaften hinwegt\u00e4uscht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Im offiziellen <strong>FCI-Rassestandart<\/strong> hei\u00dft es: \u201eVielseitiger, leichtf\u00fchriger, wesensfester und passionierter Jagdgebrauchshund mit systematischer und ausdauernder Suche, jedoch nicht \u00fcberm\u00e4\u03b2ig temperamentvoll; Nase von bemerkenswerter G\u00fcte; raubzeug- und wildscharf; auch wachsam, jedoch nicht aggressiv; zuverl\u00e4ssig im Vorstehen und in der Wasserarbeit, bemerkenswerte Neigung zur Arbeit nach dem Schuss.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Was hier f\u00fcr den ein oder anderen auf den ersten Blick positiv klingt, bezieht sich aber vor allem auf den Jagdbetrieb und den Vergleich mit anderen Jagdhunderassen. Abseits dessen, also im vorrangigen Alltags- und Familienumfeld bedarf es einem sehr konsequenten Umgang mit dem <strong>Dicksch\u00e4del<\/strong> Weimaraner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div Blicken in Wildrichtung. Dies ist auch im Nicht-Jagdbetrieb sinnvoll, beim Vorstehen sind wir gewarnt, dass der Hund auf Wildsuche jeden Moment loslaufen k\u00f6nnte, d.h. wir ihn rechtzeitig davon abhalten k\u00f6nnen. Weist der Jagdhund diese beherzte Vorgehensweise auch gegen\u00fcber wehrhaftem Wild auf, nennt man diese unempfindliche H\u00e4rte <strong>Raubzeugsch\u00e4rfe<\/strong>. Diese Sch\u00e4rfe war vor allem in der fr\u00fcheren Jagd und im damaligen F\u00f6rsteralltag gew\u00fcnscht, heute jedoch setzt man zunehmende auf soziale Kompetenz, d.h. der Unbefangenheit des Weimaraners gegen\u00fcber Menschen und Tier. Wie viele andere Hunderassen kann man auch einen Weimaraner <strong>mannscharf<\/strong> abrichten, d.h. gezielte Aggression bis hin zu Angriffsverhalten gegen\u00fcber Menschen. Ich wei\u00df von Weimaranern im Nahen Osten, die entlang Stacheldrahtzaun und Mineng\u00fcrtel scharf die Grenze zum Nachbarland bewachen. Die selbe Rasse und dennoch weit entfernt vom deutschen Anwendungszweck und ein Nachweis f\u00fcr die extreme Vielseitigkeit. Vieles ist m\u00f6glich, keineswegs jedoch ist ein Tier nur b\u00f6se, weil es so auf die Welt gekommen ist; es wird vor allem durch seine Umwelt gepr\u00e4gt. Jeder Hundebesitzer \u00fcbernimmt selbst die Verantwortung f\u00fcr eine entsprechende Erziehung. Einer unserer Weimaraner, mit sehr viel Liebe erzogen, ist der Friede selbst; keine gegen ihn gerichtete Aggression l\u00e4sst ihn so sehr aggressiv werden, dass man ihn auch nur ansatzweise mannscharf nennen k\u00f6nnte. Man muss nicht jede Veranlagung auch wecken, selbiges gilt f\u00fcr den Jagdtrieb, wenn man ihn nicht braucht. <strong>Schutzrieb<\/strong> hat er nat\u00fcrlich und daf\u00fcr lieben und verlassen wir uns auch auf ihn. Weimaraner sind hervorragende Wachhunde; bei fremder \u201eGefahr\u201c f\u00fcr das eigene Grundst\u00fcck schlagen sie unverz\u00fcglich Alarm. Diese Eigenschaft sch\u00e4tzen wir nicht nur zu Hause auf dem eigenen Grundst\u00fcck, ganz besonders unterwegs auf Tour m\u00f6chten wir sie nicht missen. Ein Weimaraner auf den Vordersitz unseres geparkten Fahrzeuges in einer offensichtlich weniger sicheren Gegendend schreckt ausreichend genug ab, nicht an das Fahrzeug zu gehen. Und auf Trekkingtouren im t\u00e4glich wechselnden Outoor-Camp steckt der Weimaraner sein Revier automatisch ab; je nach Umgebung passiert nichts und niemand seine \u201erote\u201c Linie, man kann beruhigt im Zelt einschlafen. Ohne Weimaraner w\u00e4ren einige Situationen sicher schon ganz anders ausgegangen, und gerade vor unserem blauen, d.h. dem \u201egro\u00dfen schwarzen Hund\u201c haben die Menschen sichtlich Respekt, w\u00e4hrend die graue H\u00fcndin eher als friedlich wahrgenommen wird (wobei nicht selten eher das Gegenteil der Fall ist).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex
